July 2023
Our new Friday café is going well and we welcome visitors as well as our regular folk.
In conjunction with Welland Parish Council, we are delighted to be hosting the Welland Community Cinema. Major films will be shown on the first Friday of the month - these will be fully advertised and tickets are £5. We have paused these showings while we have sunlight issues with the screen! On the third Friday of the month, a film club film will be shown. Our new season starts in September when we expect to show Fisherman's Friends on 1st September but check the "Forthcoming Events" page for confirmation.
We were delighted to show the Coronation of King Charles III on 6th May - our first live streamed event - with attendance of around 60. The Wimbledon Men's Final is our second live stream event on 16th July.

We entrust him now to your love and mercy,
through our Redeemer Jesus Christ. Amen.

We are delighted to be holding services again, albeit fortnightly, with social distancing and with no hymn singing.
We had our first service on 12th July - an outdoor Evening Service, which was lovely and well attended. Two weeks later we had our first Communion Service, with its own challenges to keep safe but again a beautiful time and well attended.
Tomorrow we have our third service since lockdown eased. We were hoping to hold it indoors but the heat wave has helped us change our minds to hold it indoors. We look forward to welcoming you if you're able to come.
Best Wishes,
John Martin
Churchwarden.

We had the joy of opening up the church for private prayer last week! What a relief after three months of the church being closed. We will be open again Monday and Thursday this week from 10am to 12noon.
So when we will be open for church services? This is still being worked out but we hope to start again soon - stay tuned!
Our fund raising activities are still on hold so no "New to You" or "Cream Teas".
With no means of physically holding fund raising events, our church finances are suffering and we are currently projecting a £3000 deficit for the year. If you are able and willing to make a donation to church funds, that would be most appreciated. Click here to donate online.
Thanks for visiting our web site today.
